Internet Usage Policy


Statement of Policy

CIMFR, Digwadih Campus, Dhanbad  is committed to provide Internet Access in a professional work environment. To ensure everyone has the same right and respect, the INSTITUTE has instituted this  Internet Usage Policy. 


This policy is intended to inform all the staff of the institute what are the expectations and acceptable behaviors when they are using the Internet. 


Anyone who uses the Internet are expected and required to follow this policy.  The Institute  will not tolerate unacceptable Internet behavior.


This policy is not intended to impend the normal behavior among the employees and between employees and the Institute.


Scope of this Policy

It applies to everyone using the Internet in the Institute.  It includes all employees, research interns, project assistants and students. 



Internet Usage includes, but not limited to, the followings:



Monitor Internet Usage

The Institute can and will monitor all Internet usages. All Internet activities can and will be logged for further review.  This is to ensure all Internet users adhere to our policy.


Activities can be blocked

The Institute can and will block certain Internet activities that are deemed unsuitable and/or unacceptable. 


Activities not permitted

The following activities are deemed unproductive by the Institute and therefore NOT permitted:



Objectionable Material

Users should not access/upload/download materials that can be deemed objectionable to other employee.  These include, but not limited to material are jokes, harassments or discrimination of a certain group of people based on:



Confidential/Sensitive Material

Users should not upload/save/send institute's confidential and/or sensitive material to the public or any locations that are considered not appropriate or insecure. 




All Employees are advised and expected to adhere to this Internet Usage Policy.  Internet misuse can result in termination of employment or other disciplinary action.
